About Outreach

About

I am a PhD Candidate in Musicology and Interdisciplinary Ocean Studies. The research project examines traditional music in Kalaallit Nunaat, Inuit philosophy and artistic practice informed by oceans. I am particularly interested in music ontological questions that concern listening and sound-based practices as something more-than-human and the ethical and scientific implications of music analysis as well as possibilities and limitations of western music analysis. My project is an interdisciplinary endeavour informed by environmental humanities, ethnomusicology and ecomusicology.
