I have a mixed interdisciplinary background in cultural and literary studies. My primary field is the long nineteenth century in Britain with a specific focus on the Gothic and its use of space, place, and architecture. Secondary fields include film, adaptation, and queer theory.
The introductory course on prose is my primary course this semester. Previously, I have taught academic writing for three years, and I have also covered different seminars on topics ranging from nineteenth-century science fiction to Latinx literatures, and gender and sexuality studies.
I can supervise MA and BA theses on a variety of topics such as the Gothic, nineteenth century urbanization, film studies, adaptation, and queer theory.
