Mahdi completed a master of science in Water Engineering (2018) from the University of Tehran, Iran. After finishing his masters degree, he worked as a researcher and a consultant in Iran (2019-2022).
In 2022, he started his PhD at the Water and Wastewater Group in NTNU. The focus of his PhD is on asset management of green infrastructure.
