About
Mahdi completed a Master of Science in Water Engineering in 2018 at the University of Tehran, Iran. After completing his master’s degree, he worked as a researcher and consultant in Iran from 2019 to 2022.
In 2022, he started his PhD at the Water and Wastewater Group at NTNU. The focus of his PhD was on asset management of green infrastructure. He defended his PhD thesis in March 2026, and from April 2026 he continues his research as a postdoctoral researcher at NTNU, working on the project Nature Thrives.
