Background and activities

I am currently doing a PhD on peat mosses and ecosystem services, and their function in natural, disturbed and restored mires.

I started working at the Museum in 2015 with research on and management of peatland and cultural landscapes. The projects were aimed at plant- and population ecology, regional variation, climate related topics and restoration. I have worked especially much with raised bogs, rich fens, haymaking fens and hay meadows, vegetation surveys through NiN (Natur i Norge), and development of wetland indicators for Naturindeks for Norge (Nature Index of Norway).

In addition, I am currently running the longterm study on birds in Endalen for the Department of Natural History.
