About

May Gresdahl is a PhD candidate in Social Work at NTNU, specializing in child welfare. She holds a bachelor's degree in Child Welfare and an MPhil in Childhood Studies from NTNU. Her research focuses on how children's participation is practiced and experienced within the emergency child welfare context. Her academic background includes work on developmental trauma and youth perceptions of safety in Mexico City. With strong expertise in mixed-methods research, she is passionate about improving child welfare practices and enhancing the experiences of children and families in complex, high-risk situations.
