Meenal Agrawal
About
Meenal Agrawal is a PhD candidate in the Functional Materials and Materials Chemistry (FACET) research group at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. She is a member of the Solid-State Battery group led by Professor Daniel Rettenwander.
Her research focuses on developing scalable approaches for next-generation solid-state batteries, with an emphasis on advanced electrode processing, densification strategies, and structure–property relationships. She works on optimizing composite electrodes and solid electrolytes to enable high-performance pouch cells, combining experimental methods in slurry formulation, tape-casting, and densification with electrochemical evaluation across multiple cell formats. Additionally, her projects extend to the design and characterization of novel halide-based sodium solid electrolytes, linking fundamental material synthesis with practical battery manufacturing and performance.
