About

Mohammad Bayesteh is a filmmaker and artistic researcher based in Trondheim, Norway, with nearly two decades of experience in cinema, expanded film production, and visual arts. As a director and writer, he has made 19 short fiction and documentary films, including The Forgiveness Trilogy, Blue is the Sky, Hege meets Diana, The Rabbit, Nardang (Docuseries), Brandenburg Mary, Silver, Soltanyeh Vault, and Standing; facing the wall and has worked as chief editor on more than 200 films. His research investigates how organising from below can activate co-operative story-telling by and for marginalised voices. 

Research

Climaborough

Co-funded by the EU, CLIMABOROUGH bridges the gap between urban design and climate implementation. Coordinated by ANCI Toscana, NTNU and Trondheim Academy of Fine Art use artistic research to support climate-neutral city-hubs.

Pacesetters

PACESETTERS is an EU funded Horizon Europe RIA project involving 15 partners. Coordinated by the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art and NTNU, the project sets the pace for climate transition through collaborative artistic practice based research.
