Monika Engdal

I am a physiotherapist and PhD candidate at the program for Medicine and Health Science at the research group Geriatrics, Movement, Stroke, and Rehabilitation (GeMS-R) at the Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Science.
In my work, I am connected to Mobilise-D (Home - Mobilise-D), an EU project aimed at developing a comprehensive system for monitoring and evaluating walking and mobility in various patient groups, including hip fracture patients, using digital technologies with body-worn sensors.
My PhD project focuses on exploring daily life mobility through sensor-based activity measurements and patient experiences during the first year after a hip fracture.
