Moses Mawanga
About
I am a PhD candidate with the Catalysis Group at the Department of Chemical Engineering where I investigate the underlying kinetics and mechanisms of chemical reactions of industrial importance. I use a range of surface chemistry techniques including intrinsic transient tracing (SSITKA), adsorption microcalorimetry (µ-calo) in addition to conventional characterization techniques to study the oxidation of nitric oxide to dioxide; a reaction pertinent to the many processes; NOx abatement, nitric acid manufacture as well the the Direct conversion of Methane to Methanol (DMTM) reaction over metal-exchanged zeolites.
