Namrata Pradhan
About
Namrata Pradhan is a passionate and dedicated PhD Candidate in Global Health at NTNU, Norway, with an expected thesis submission in the year 2025. She brings over a decade of experience in disability and disability research, particularly within low-income contexts. Her doctoral research is specifically focused on promoting the health of individuals affected by disability in Nepal, through the development and assessment of a stress management intervention for caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities.
With a strong foundation in research and project management, Namrata holds an MPhil in International Community Health from the University of Oslo and a Bachelor's in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. Her expertise spans qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis using SPSS and R, and a proven ability in intervention design and feasibility studies.
Namrata has extensive experience in global health initiatives, including her role as an Assistant Executive Officer at the Norwegian Research School of Global Health (NRSGH), NTNU, where she organized seminars, managed online content, and handled administrative and financial processes. She has collaborated with user groups, organizations, and stakeholders, and has experience tailoring interventions to specific cultural contexts. Her work in Nepal, India, and Norway has honed her intercultural communication, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities
Her commitment to supporting families of children with disabilities in Nepal continues, as she has recently joined an organization dedicated to this cause called "Livåtte", where she will contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the project.
Additionally, Namrata is currently completed Health Entrepreneurship course and is pursuing a PMP certification, further enhancing her skills in business development and innovation management. She is particularly interested in contributing to global health and disability-related initiatives through innvotaion and health entrepreneurship lens.
