About Research

About

I am a PhD Candidate in the Power System Operation and Analysis (PSOA) group at NTNU, with a background in renewable energy engineering and sustainable energy systems. My professional experience spans solar PV system design, operation and maintenance, performance assessment, and hybrid energy systems across East Africa. My research interests focus on resilient and sustainable decentralized energy systems, particularly solar PV and battery energy storage.

Research

My research focuses on the resilient design and operation of decentralized solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) under environmental and operational uncertainty. I am developing a modular, open-source, data-centric Python-based simulation and optimization framework to assess system performance, resilience, and recovery under disturbances such as environmental extremes, equipment degradation, and changing demand. The research combines physical system modelling, resilience assessment, optimization, and case studies across data-rich and data-scarce environments.
