A medical doctor from Nepal with a PhD in Public Health from NTNU. A mixed method researcher with 15 +years of experience in working in issues related to gender, gender-based violence prevention and response and women’s health in a transdisciplinary environment and collaborations internationally both in LMIC and HIC countries. Interested and skilled in research that inclides co-designing, transformative education, survivor-centric and trauma informed approaches. Current involvement in process evaluations of RCTs and intervention to improve quality of care for victims/ survivors of domestic violence, improve safety for women and girls, LGBTQI+ and persons with disability. Involved in the development of innovative data collection tool namely color-coded audio self-assisted interview (c-ACASI) for women of all education level in Nepal for use in clinical setting. Experienced and passionate teachers with well-rounded skill in preparing lectures, assignments, designing courses (both online and in person) and education materials. Designed courses on Gender, "Gender in Health: Methods and Meaning in LMIC" and "Qualitative Research Methods in Healthcare" at Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University Hospital, Nepal. Holds a Master’s degree in inclusive and special needs education/pedagogy.
