Prerna Bishnoi is a Ph.D. candidate in Artistic Research at Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, Norway. Her topic of research explores ways in which workers (industrial, academic or art workers) can reimagine labour under the conditions of the climate transition and what role documentary practice (with a focus on filmmaking) can play in making labour-climate justice imaginable. Her interest is in understanding and contributing to the agency of grassroots organizing and the potential of (creating) knowledge-sharing networks between workers, researchers and artists within this framework.
She contributes to the following research projects:
Pacesetters (coordinated by KiT)
Cyanotypes
Workers as Agents of a Green and Just Transition (Umeå University)
She is also a board member of the visual artist union, Unge Kunstneres Samfund/Young Artists Society and was in the first steering group of Verdensrommet, an advocacy and mutual support network for 170+ non-EU/EEA creative professionals in Norway.
