Rituka Jaiswal
About
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of ICT at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Ålesund. I hold a PhD in Smart Grids and Artificial Intelligence, with research expertise in energy optimisation, fault detection, and wind farm integration.
As a member of the Sustainable Digitisation Lab, my current research focuses on the use of digital technologies, data, and computational frameworks to understand and address climate change, including applications to energy systems, food systems, and sustainability transitions. My work integrates technical, systems-based, and interdisciplinary perspectives to support evidence-based climate mitigation and adaptation.
Research
My research lies at the intersection of digital technologies, data-driven analysis, and sustainability science. I am motivated by the challenge of understanding and addressing climate change through systems-level and computational approaches.
Building on my background in smart grids, artificial intelligence, and energy systems, my current work explores how data integration, modelling, and causal frameworks can be used to analyse climate-related impacts across interconnected systems. This includes the synthesis of environmental, socio-economic, and health datasets to better understand responsibility, risk, and mitigation pathways.
I am particularly interested in developing transdisciplinary frameworks that connect technological analysis with broader questions of sustainability, ethics, and policy. Ongoing and emerging projects focus on integrating heterogeneous datasets and computational tools to support evidence-based climate mitigation and adaptation.
