Background and activities
Ruslan is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering, affiliated to Sustainable Energy Systems Group and the Industrial Ecology Programme. He is also involved in ongoing work of the Research Centre on Zero Emission Buildings in Smart Cities (FME ZEN) and IEA-EBC Annex 70.
His research focus is data-driven predictive modelling of building energy demand. Such models are further used to develop the solutions for building energy efficiency and flexibility through automated control and scheduling, evaluate the feasibility of renewable energy technologies acceptance in buildings and communities and strategic energy planning.
Ruslan holds M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering (NTUU "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute"), M.Sc. in Sustainable Manufacturing (Gjøvik University College) and worked as a Life Cycle Analyst prior to joining NTNU.
