I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Architecture and Technology (IAT). My PhD project, which started in 2022, focuses on the cost-benefit life cycle analysis of upgrading measures in existing non-residential buildings.
In this project, which is now in its final phase, I have developed a novel framework for conducting cost-benefit analyses (CBA) of building upgrading activities. The framework emphasizes:

Exploring the impact of stakeholders’ viewpoints on CBA outcomes

Investigating uncertainties related to key input parameters

Accounting for the influence of regional characteristics

Evaluating the potential of a stepwise retrofitting approach
My PhD project is part of Work Package 3: “Responsive and Energy-Efficient Buildings” within the Zero Emission Neighbourhoods (ZEN) Research Centre.
