Background and activities

Shahab is a postdoc research fellow at the Department of Computer Science.  He is currently a member of the Data and Artificial Intelligence (DART) group and associated with the Open AI Lab in NTNU. Shahab's research interests are mainly in the area of Machine learning and IoT-security.  

He participated in many research programs within the Center of Big Data Analysis at IUST and IAU. Shamshirband was associated with Young researchers and elite club from 2009 till now. 

Shamshirband supervised and co-supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students (Master and Ph.D.) through research and training. He also an author and co-author of papers published in IF journals and attended to high-rank A and B conferences. He is an associate editor, guest editor, and reviewer of high-quality journals and conferences. Shahab is a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE) and he is a member of ACM and IET. Shahab received an award for Top 1% scientists in the world in 2017-2018 based on Essential Science Indicators (Thomson Reuters- ESI- ISI).
