I am an animal ecologist specialising in birds who recently started a PhD with Jane Reid and Rita Fortuna studying the evolutionary ecology of European Shag migration. More specifically, the aim for my PhD is to investigate possible links between dispersal and seasonal migration. I completed my Master’s degree at Aarhus University (Denmark) looking at the effects of migration distances and individual experience on spring migration and breeding of Icelandic Common Scoters. After my time in Aarhus and before coming to NTNU I was working for two years as a biologist at the Northeast Iceland Nature Research Centre doing various monitoring, research and environmental impact assessments, mainly focusing on birds.
