About

Work area

I'm a PhD candidate and part of the Information Systems and Software Engineering (ISSE) group. My research focuses on the shift of healthcare activities into homes. Specifically, I investigate two cases of welfare technology and mental health home treatment. I am interested in research in the area of Computer Supported Cooperative Work, Information Systems, and Health Informatics.

Expertise

I have a background in Computer Science and Health Informatics, and experience in the design and implementation of web and mobile applications (mainly in the area of healthcare). Previous research experience includes work in LMIC and health care settings. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked as a Public Health Informatician at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where my focus was on the integration of environmental health data in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems using HL7 FHIR. I also worked as a researcher for the Center for Health Services Research, Brandenburg Medical School where I contributed to research on OpenNotes.
