Background and activities

I am currently doing my PhD in English in the Department of Teacher Education (ILU). My project is entitled "YA Refugee Literature: Developing Sustainable Literacy in the EFL Classroom" and investigates the entanglements of ethical, aesthetical, and affective elements in the pedagogy of refugee literature. The project is connected to Libe Garcia Zarranz’ project "TransLit: Sustainable Trans/national Literacies: Ethics, Affect, Pedagogy". I currently co-organize the “English and Foreign Language Research Seminars” which is a collaboration between the Department of Teacher Education and the Department of Language and Literature at NTNU.

My master course brought me to Trondheim, to NTNU already in 2014 as an Erasmus student. After an amazing international experience, I obtained my Master in English literature in the department of European, American and Postcolonial Language and Literature from Ca' Foscari University in Venice (Italy). The focus of the work was the contemporary theatre play "The Events" as an example of resistance to the violence of extremism and racism in our contemporary society.
