Project title: Integrated design and performance evaluation of positive energy buildings

Research area: Simulation and measurements of energy use and indoor climate, and calculations of greenhouse gas emissions of positive energy buildings in Norway

Research questions:

  • How do realized positive energy buildings in Norway perform with respect to energy, greenhouse gas emissions and indoor environmental quality?
    Research sub-question 1:
    How do positive energy buildings perform in real life compared to design performance predictions?
    Research sub-question 2:
    How can performance of positive energy buildings improve in terms of energy, greenhouse gas emissions and indoor environmental quality?

syn.ikia

syn.ikia aims at achieving sustainable plus energy neighbourhoods with more than 100% energy savings. This will be achieved while ensuring high quality indoor environment and well-being.
