About

About me:

I hold an MA-thesis in European Culture. (EKUL). I specialized in 19th century radical tropological pietism in Norway. My thesis examined the ways in which the biblical narrative manifested itself through specific religious practices and the meaning of conversion as personal and communal experience. I am interested in the historicity of biblical hermeneutics, historical-temporal perception and Christianity as a reality-structuring narrative culture.

Current project:

I am a Ph.D applicant working under the project “Religious and Secular World-Making: Narrative Cultures of Utopian Emigration and the Formation of Modern Regimes of Attention” (NC-RoA). My Ph.D combines perspectives from cognitive science with historical-temporal analysis to examine changes in perception and experience on the part of Scandinavian emigrants to America in the 19th Century.
