About Teaching

About

Vendela Maria Paxal (1964) is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications. She is a member of the Circuit and Radio Systems group. Paxal has a MSc from the Université d'Aix-Marseille III, Faculté de St. Jerôme, a Diplôme d'Ingénieur en Télécommunications, delivered by “Ministére des Postes, des Télécommunications et de l'Espace”, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris. She also is a Doctor Technicae from NTNU, dissertation “Advanced Digital Signal Processing Algorithms for High Speed Applications”.

  • 2009- Professor II in Space Technology, NTNU, Trondheim
  • 2010- Project Manager Development, since April 2015 also R&D Department Manager Navigation, Indra Navia AS, R&D Navigation department, Oslo
  • 2006-2010 Senior Project Manager, Fast Search & Transfer, Global Services- EMEA, Oslo
  • 2000-2006 Research and development engineer, project leader and department manager, Nera Broadband Satellite, R&D department, Billingstad
  • 1995-2000 Research and development engineer, project leader, Telenor R&D, Satellite and radio communication department, Kjeller

International experience

  • 1990-1995 Research and development engineer, project leader. Société Anonyme des Télécommunications (SAT) in Sagem group, Digital signal processing department, Paris
  • Participant and work package leader in several international research projects with large consortia: RACE FIRST, SINUS, NICE, EURESCOM P816, COST 253, SESAR
  • Technical project leader at Nera of projects funded by the European Space Agency, Noordwijk: Mini-GW, CODES, Large Scale Deployment DVB-RCS
  • Telenor´s representative and participant in the European Broadcast Union´s DVB-RCS (Digital Video Broadcasting, Return Channel via Satellite) standardisation forum, Geneva
