Xavier Fernando Cuauhtémoc Sánchez Díaz

About

My research interests include analysis of evolutionary computation for multimodal optimisation, as well as fitness landscape analysis. Lately I have been working on a playground for evolutionary computation in Julia along with the Norwegian Open AI Lab.

I was previously a research associate at the Research Group with Strategic Focus in Intelligent Systems of Tecnológico de Monterrey, studying evolutionary computation, hyper-heuristics and constraint satisfaction. I was also an associate lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, where I was teaching automata theory, discrete maths, and programming languages.

I spent some time as research assistant and lead developer at the Department of Mathematics at Tecnológico de Monterrey where I implemented online evaluations for the maths MOOCs Matemáticas y Movimiento and El Cálculo, among many other projects focusing on mathematics education.
