Xize Dai is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the research group of High Voltage Technology at the Department of Electric Energy, NTNU. He has a BSc in Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Electrical Engineering (High Voltage Engineering and Insulation Technology), and a Ph.D. also in Electrical Engineering from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark.

Specifically, he has been in the broad field of high voltage engineering and dielectric materials. He mainly focuses on characterization, physical mechanisms, and model development of high-field dielectric response in time and frequency domains, partial discharge behaviors and modelling, condition diagnostic and health assessment of electric power components, and physics-informed digital twin for electric power components (transformers/cables/bushings/GIS/power electronic components).
