My research is part of the Mobilitet Stor-Trondheim (MoST) initiative and the PERSEUS doctoral programme, with a focus on future-oriented and sustainable urban transport modeling.
I explore how activity-based and agent-based models, particularly the Multi-Agent Transport Simulation (MATSim) framework, can enhance decision-making in urban mobility planning. I am currently developing a large-scale, multimodal MATSim model for Trondheim, encompassing synthetic population generation, scenario simulation, and policy evaluation. My project also includes conducting a comparative analysis between MATSim and Norway's four-step Regional Transport Model (RTM) to evaluate which approach is more effective across various policy contexts.
