Cooperation with partners in the Global South shall add to NTNU’s vision Knowledge for a better world and NTNU’s strategy to strengthen collaboration with selected international partners, realize NTNU’s societal mission, and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Knowledge development is also a goal in itself. Cooperation with the Global South connects NTNU to the majority of the world’s population. Perspectives and experiences from the Global South are therefore of great importance for students and staff. The potential for cooperation with the Global South is great, and the level of ambition is high. We aim to increase activities both qualitatively and quantitatively in joint educational programs and courses, student mobility, research projects, and innovation projects.

In this initiative there is provided some money to stimulate more activity with Global South Insititustions in relevant topics. Below is links to the four different call for research project og seed money for activities for 2026-2027.
