The Collaborative Action for Strengthening Training Capacities in Climate Risk and Natural Resource management

CoSTClim is a four-partner project that set out to contribute to enhanced societal resilience to climate change, ecosystem productivity and environmental sustainability in Uganda. The consortium implementing CoSTClim is composed of partners from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Makerere University, Uganda Martyrs University and the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture. The aim of the project is to strengthen partnerships between African Higher Education Institutions and NTNU to provide quality and internationalized academic training and to implement joint training and research activities. The CoSTClim project will facilitate i) Exchange of students (PhD and masters) to participate in summer schools, selected courses, joint research and thesis writing; ii) Exchange of staff between Uganda and Norway, iii) develop one PhD programme and review existing Masters programme in Ugandan universities, iv) organize joint research seminar series. The project is funded by NORPART - Norwegian Partnership Programme for Global Academic Cooperation 2019-2023.
