Czech-Nordic Memorabilia II – Democracy and Active Citizenship in University Teaching is a collaboration between the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences at NTNU, and the Department of Germanic and Nordic Studies at Charles University in the Czech Republic. The project aims to revitalise teaching in Scandinavian history and society, and to shed light on new research about Czech citizens in Norway during the war, particularly those who were forced labourers.

It offers young researchers in Scandinavian studies the opportunity to take new courses. To enhance the job prospects of students nearing graduation, project members have also established a field course.

The history curriculum focuses on democratisation and active citizenship, strengthening cooperation between Norway and the Czech Republic around shared historical milestones.

Several events are planned:
• Four roundtable discussions on active citizenship and war history
• An exhibition on the Holocaust in Scandinavia
