The department actively facilitates and engages in collaboration with other academic and professional communities, both nationally and internationally.

Clinical, Basic and Translational Research

We study major clinical fields, including pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, fetal and pediatric medicine, women’s health, oncology, hematology and infectious diseases, molecular cell biology, photodynamic therapy, physiology, immunology, toxicology, endocrinology, renal diseases, urology, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, dermatology and venereology, experimental surgery, biobanking, laboratory sciences, and medical ethics.

The department’s research activities are organized into four academic units, which comprise numerous research groups. The department also hosts four core facilities specializing in gene and protein analysis, advanced cellular imaging, and bioinformatics.

Knowledge for Better Health

The Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine provides education for the professional medical degree program, as well as in basic medical sciences, laboratory sciences, internal medicine, surgery, women’s health, and pediatrics. The department offers master’s degree programs in pharmacy and midwifery, as well as an international master’s program in molecular medicine. Additionally, it provides training in diagnostic ultrasound for midwives.
