Join our hearing study

We're looking for participants (aged 18-45 years) for a research project on hearing science.

How musically fit is your ear? We invite you to take part in a research project that aims to find the limits of pitch or tonal height perception. We are looking for people without hearing problems. You do not need to be a musician, but if you are, you are also welcome! You will be compensated for the time you spend (see below).

About the research study

Our ability to discriminate pitch is fundamental to speech perception and experiencing music. In this project we seek to establish the mechanisms behind pitch by means of psychoacoustic experiments.

What does participation involve?

You will listen to sounds and respond by pressing a button according to very simple instructions. The experiment consists of two sessions, each on a different day. The first session lasts approximately 1 ½ h, and the second session 1 ¼ h.

To compensate for your time, we offer a gift card worth 400 NOK for the 2 completed sessions.
