Dr. Dmitry A. OnishchenkoDr. Dmitry A. Onishchenko obtained both his undergraduate and graduate studies from Moscow Lomonosov State University with an MSc degree in Applied Mathematics in 1979 and a PhD degree in Physical and Mathematical Science in 1984. He later obtained the ‘Senior Research Scientist in Structural Mechanics’ certificate in 1992.

His experiences involve about 30 years activity as a researcher in Solid Mechanics and Fracture Mechanics (including Ice Problems), Structural Mechanics, and Complex Systems Reliability and Safety. Development of design models for nonstandard steel structures, analysis and computation (including FEM), creating computer codes. Elaboration of mathematical and applied probabilistic models for the reliability and risk assessment of structures and complex systems. Development and analysis of mechanics and mathematical models for interaction of offshore structures with different ice features. Statistical data processing. Elaboration of design codes for offshore oil and gas fields development.
