Work Packages and Deliverables
The SEUS project is structured into seven distinct work packages, described below, which together comprise 39 deliverables. Each work package contributes to the project’s overall objective—the development of a new computational toolset—while taking into account the needs of target user groups, advancements in industrial research and technology, platform integration and interoperability requirements, a novel human-centric approach, and the necessary support processes for project management and dissemination.
WP1 Best Practices in Shipbuilding
Objectives: This WP addresses research, evaluation, and compilation activities to identify the best practices for the smart PLM approach in shipbuilding. It aims to build a new body of knowledge for the value shipbuilding can expect to gain from digitalization, a single-source of truth approach with compelling information and data sharing for all stakeholders. The applied nature of such research and interconnection with the computational tool development process (WP 2,3) and end-user perspectives (WP5) will deliver a practical approach to innovation and implementation of EU shipbuilding industry expertise.

D1.4 - Framework Compilation (NTNU)
WP2 CAD + PLM Platform Development
Objectives: The work package covers the development part of the computational tools. It aims to develop the integrated platform using input from work packages 1 and 5, and is closely linked with work in packages 3 and 4. The development will be carried out based on existing software development practices, capabilities and quality assurance processes, in close cooperation with all consortium participants, and taking into account the value co-creation process.

Deliverables (Lead: CADMATIC)

D2.5 – Generic Data Model for Shipbuilding Projects
WP3 Open Platform Development
Objectives: To ensure the platform’s compatibility with main proprietary systems (CAE, CAD, CAM, PDM, MES) used in commercial shipbuilding, incorporate possibilities for expansion to use ship operation data via standardized protocols and support I5.0 principles.
All public deliverables and reports are available via the links.
Deliverables (Lead)

D3.2 – PDM/PLM API interfaces (CONTACT)

D3.4 – PDM/ERP interface (CONTACT)
D3.5 – PDM/MES interface with standardized data exchange (CONTACT)
D3.6 – PLM/IoT interfaces for ship operation data (CONTACT)
D3.7 – Cyber security governance (NHL Stenden)
WP4 Implementation at Shipyards
Objectives: To implement intermediate and final versions of the platform at the shipyards, test it in selected use cases and information flows, gain insights of the fit with shipyard processes, and provide feedback for development.
- Full-scale implementation of project results
- Identification and measurement of the benefits of PLM implementation
- Testing of communication and cooperation with other project stakeholders
All public deliverables and reports are available via the links.
Deliverables (Lead)

D4.5 – Analysis of finidnings and feedback (Ulstein)
WP5 Knowledge Management & Skills Development
Objectives: This WP addresses overall shipbuilding planning and management with human-centric representation and management of shipbuilding activities and interaction and collaboration of various shipbuilding actors including shipowners, operators, and service providers as well as users and passengers. WP includes an AI-based document intelligence development component, which contributes toward the overall knowledge management objective, as well as interfacing with the platform development in WP3. This WP addresses also the knowledge and requirements of shipbuilding actors and their skills development including training.
All public deliverables and reports are available via the links.
Deliverables (Lead: UTU)

D5.2 – Series of information retrieval tools
D5.3 – Smart Shipbuilding Activity Map System
D5.4 – Business model support system
WP6 Communication & Dissemination
Objectives: The purpose of WP6 will be to assure the project’s visibility, spread pertinent information on its goals, activities and results to the relevant stakeholders and scientific communities, thereby fostering the engagement of the target in the SEUS activities. Specifically:
- Distributing knowledge about the project to the wider maritime world.
- Distributing knowledge that is or can be made publicly available to the world of academics and software developers.
- Distributing user knowledge on SEUS to present and future designers, engineers, and their managers.
- Identifying and managing the Intellectual Property Rights as developed in this project.
All public deliverables and reports are available via the links.

D6.7 – Update the plan for the Exploitation, Dissemination and communication of Results (NTNU)
WP7 Project Management
Objectives:
- Ensuring smooth cooperation among consortium partners
- Leading the consortium towards fulfilling the planned goals of SEUS project
- Efficient financial, technical, and legal management
- Establish efficient coordination and communication between partners and the EC project officer
All public deliverables and reports are available via the links.
