ShipCO Board Game

ShipCo Board Game

ShipCo is a board game developed by researchers Zeynep Tacgin and Miia Martinsuo at the University of Turku as part of learning technology–based training in SEUS. The game aims to encourage the adoption of digital solutions and to build readiness for data-driven shipbuilding. For more details on the research conducted by Tacgin and Martinsuo (2025), please see the Scientific Publications.

Game Objective

The game's goal is for players to recognize potentials of using digital data and collaboratively complete the shipbuilding process by progressing through all phases of the game: Design, Planning, Manufacturing, Assembly and Delivery. Players take on specific roles such as Engineer, Designer, Manager, Supervisor, or Software developer and complete tasks, resolve challenges, and use bonus cards to succeed.
