Countries with specific documentation requirements

Countries with specific documentation requirements

From some countries we require that documentation of your higher education is sent directly from your institution to NTNU. If your education is from one of the countries below you have to request that your institution send an official transcript of records in a sealed envelope directly to NTNU. These countries are:

USA, Canada, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Hong Kong, Macao, Nigeria, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

Hard copies of educational documents should be sent to the following address:

NTNU - Education Division
Unit for Admissions
Postboks 8900 Torgarden
7491 Trondheim
Norway

If documents are sent by express delivery services (such as DHL or FedEx), the following address must be used:

NTNU Unit for Admissions
Transportsentralen
Sluppenvegen 14, rampe syd
7037 Trondheim
Norway

We prefer to receive educational documents from the USA and Canada as e-transcripts. These can be sent to opptak@ntnu.no.

The list of countries is not exhaustive and may be changed. Applicants with education from countries not listed will be notified during the admission process if they need to document their education in other ways than informed on the web page.

International applicants who accept an offer of admission will be required to submit original documentation for verification when the semester starts.

China

Applicants who have a first degree from China must submit an application to CSSD. The document must be uploaded to Søknadsweb.

Pakistan

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan must certify your degree certificates and marks sheet/result card. Transcripts and diplomas with HEC stamps should be uploaded to Søknadsweb.

HK-dir verifications

Applicants with higher education from the following countries have to upload an official verification from HK-dir:

Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jemen, Liberia, Libya, Sierra Leone, Somalia

This document should be uploaded to Søknadsweb along with official and translated copies of diploma and transcripts.
