Precision surveying, mapping and advanced 2D/3D modelling for planning and visualisation are important for large parts of society. These are used, amongst others, in the fields of building and construction, air, sea and land navigation, by public authorities, and for monitoring the environment and resources using satellite images. Imagine the challenge of combining information technology with mapping, GNSS, surveying and geography!
The Geomatics Programme combines surveying and satellite positioning with information technology. In the course of the programme, you will achieve a good geomatics and IT knowledge base with emphasis on the use of different geomatic software, programming and databases. Geomatics concerns the processing of positioning data (“geodata”) by using digital techniques.
