Course content

The content of the course is the nature of architectural theory. This is discussed through concrete examples from the world of architecture and art and relevant theories from the discipline of architecture as well as other forms of theoretcal - foremost scientific - and practical knowledge

Learning outcome

Knowledge: Basic knowledge about architectural theories. This comprizes knowledge about the characteristica of architectural theory, the different kinds of theory, especially aesthetic theory, and the relation between theory and practice in the discipline of architecture.

Skills: To reflect critically on the theory of architecture and express this in written text.
