About the course
Course content
The student choses the subject, source material and method with guidance from his/her academic adviser. The student will produce an academic thesis of 60-100 pages.
Learning outcome
The student will finish a large, independent research project with guidance from a supervisor. On completion of the study, the student will have submitted an independent and original research contribution in his/her field of study. The student will through this project demonstrate that s/he have aquired knowledge of scientific ways of thinking and scientific method, and the thesis shall be written in accordance with the rules of scientific publishing.
Learning methods and activities
Self-study, master's thesis seminar (ALIT3800) and individual supervision.
Required previous knowledge
The student must be admitted to the Master's programme in Comparative Literature and have passed the following exams: ALIT3301, ALIT3302, ALIT3303 and ALIT3800 or equivalent.
