Course content

The course is given every second year, next time autumn 2022. The course focuses on selected, contemporary relevant issues within the overall thematic framework.

Learning outcome

The learning objective is to provide candidates with a sound understanding of selected issues within the field of Front-end Project Management, in a learning environment with professionals and other PhD candidates in Norway and abroad. Knowledge: Theoretical state of the art knowledge and experience regarding front-end management and governance of investment projects. Skills: Conducting an overall analysis of an investment case and identify a suitable choice of concept based on sound advice. General competence: Holistic reasoning in the borderland between society and technology.

Learning methods and activities

The course is organised as a PhD level seminar with invited lecturers. Participants are expected to present relevant individual papers, or abstracts of papers to be produced afterwards, to be subjected to individual evaluation. To pass the course a score of at least 70 percent is required.
