Course content
During the course, students shall, in groups of 2-3 persons, produce a written report based on a predetermined topic. Through lectures and group supervision, students will be taught in literature search and essay writing. The essay constitutes the examination and shall be between 4000 and 5000 words.

Knowledge
The student
- has basic theoretical and methodological knowledge of a limited topic in movement science
- can formulate, explore and answer a scientific problem
- knowledge of various sources, relevant subject databases and guidelines for the use of sources in their own work
Skills
The student can
- connect theory and empiricism in movement science research work
- present and discuss relevant theory and empirical writing in a precise and logical way
General competence
The student
- masters basic requirements in academic writing with regard to being able to argue for academic positions, choices and priorities, as well as follow standards for source reference, citation use and layout for reference list
- can integrate previously acquired knowledge and be able to acquire new knowledge in solving a problem
- can plan, carry out and complete a written assignment at the scientific level with a bachelor's degree

Lectures/seminars/supervision. Exchange students interested in the course must consult the Department for possible admission.

- The exam is usually conducted in groups of 2-3 students.
- The exam in this course exists of the submission of a written bachelor thesis following approval of the research question and approved supervision. The bachelor thesis will be written according to the guidelines that will be published on the course webpage on Blackboard.
- Exam registration requires that class registration is approved in the same semester. Regular final examination is given in the spring semester only. This means that no re-sit exam is arranged in the course and that in the event of dropout, failure or desire to improve grades, a new assignment must be completed in the spring semester of the next academic year.
- A bachelor's thesis that has been submitted for assessment cannot be submitted for a new assessment, even in a revised form, regardless of the assessment result.
- In the event of acute illness etc, the department may grant a deferred submission deadline upon presentation of a valid medical certificate.

Recommended previous knowledge
BEV courses from the first five semesters
Required previous knowledge
Minimum 90 credits from BEV1010, BEV1011, BEV1012, BEV1013, BEV1014, BEV2006, BEV2008, BEV2009 and BEV2102.
