Knowledge - The student can;
Describe the structure and function of large biological molecules
Explain the relationship between genes and proteins
Explain the organization of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, and the different roles subcellular organelles play in biological processes
Explain basic functions and mechanisms related to the cytoskeleton, membranes, transport, cell metabolism, signal transduction/communication in and between cells.
Skills - The student can;
Relate cellular processes to medical issues
Competence - The student can;
Use their understanding of cellular processes towards other courses in their studies
Communicate topics in cell biology to different target groups
