Course content

The topic for the project is selected within the students discipline.

Learning outcome

Knowledge:

  • Able to update knowledge in their disciplines, both through information gathering and contact with external groups and practitioners

Learning methods and activities

Academic supervision

Coursework requirements:

  • A project plan in Norwegian, with an oral presentation of the project in English
  • Presentation of the project on the Internet
  • For group projects a co-author declaration is required
  • A poster
  • Log

Further on evaluation

The written project report, together with any resulting product, is given a provisional grading. Projects with provisional grades from A to E then proceed to oral presentation and public discussion. Provisional grades may then, as a result of the oral presentation and public discussion, be adjusted by one grade up or down.

Candidates that do not obtain a pass grade have the end of the following semester to present an improved project for reassessment.

The course will be terminated in spring 2023.

Re-sit exam: August.

Specific conditions

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Electrical Engineering (BIELE)
Engineering- Electric Power (BIELKR-F)
Power Engineering (VELKRAFT)

Required previous knowledge

In order to complete the bachelor assignment, a minimum of 110 credits from the study program must be passed: For full-time students, these credits must be from 1. to 4. semester. For online students, these credits must be from 1. to 6. semester. From autumn 2019, it is assumed that 60 credits is passed from the first year and at least 50 credits from the second year. For the online students, it is assumed that similar courses have been passed.
