KNOWLEDGE
The candidate has broad knowledge of instruments and measurement methods in which surveying equipment is used. The candidate is familiar with the most common manual and computerized calculation and terrain methods used. The candidate should be familiar with different standards for geographical information and how such data can be transferred between different computer systems. The candidate should know the methods for quality assessment of measurements taken. The candidate should have knowledge of how geographical information can be collected and handled in terrain models.
SKILLS
The candidate should be able to perform engineering measurement tasks using surveying equipment and be able to process this using computer tools. The candidate should be able to use computer tools to aid in the production of maps and digital terrain models. Through practical assignments, the candidate should be able to exchange geographic information between different computer systems.
