Course content

- Water supply: Drinking water sources, distribution systems
- Water water: Different types of waste water, sources, collection systems, resipients
- Solid waste: Collection
- Laws and regulations within the field (national and international)

Learning outcome

Continuous strings:
Digital: Spreadsheets for simulations.
Ethics: Ethical reflections on selected solutions.

After completing the course, students will have basic knowledge of hydrodynamics and knowledge of wiring networks for both water supply, drainage and overwater systems as well as flow in open channels.
Skills:
Furthermore, the students should be able to
- Describe the main components of a water supply, sewer and overwater system
- Dimensioning a water supply system
General competence:
- provide an overview of the subject area, suitable for simple professional assessments

Learning methods and activities

- Project-oriented learning with pre-recorded resource lectures
- Excursions in the Mjøsreigonen, Laboratory work
- 3 - 6 mandatory work requirements
Facilitation for Internet Students:
Pre-recorded video lectures available on the learning platform.
Guidance is performed both synchronously using Collaborate and asynchronously using forum. There must be a plan for this on the learning platform.
There will be 1-2 sessions of laboratory work.
Scheduled time consumption:
Project work: 60 hours
Lectures: 10 hours
Organized guidance: 10 hours
Work on mandatory assignments: 60 hours
Own contribution: 40 hours
