Course content

  • Hydrodynamics
  • Water supply: Drinking water sources, distribution systems
  • Waste water: Different types of waste water, sources, collection systems, resipients
  • Stormy water

Learning outcome

Continuous strings:

  • Digital: Spreadsheets for simulations.
  • Ethics: Ethical reflections on selected solutions.

After completing the course, students will have basic knowledge of hydrodynamics and knowledge of wiring networks for both water supply, drainage and overwater systems as well as flow in open channels.

Skills:

Furthermore, the students should be able to

  • Describe the main components of a water supply, sewer and overwater system
  • Dimensioning a water supply system

General competence:

  • provide an overview of the subject area, suitable for simple professional assessments

Learning methods and activities

  • Project-oriented learning with pre-recorded resource lectures
  • 3 - 6 mandatory work requirements

Facilitation for remote students:

Pre-recorded video lectures available on the learning platform. Guidance is performed both synchronously and asynchronously using forum. There must be a plan for this on the learning platform.

Scheduled time consumption:
