Course content

the content includes four sections:

section1, introduction to several practical problem

section2, conventional paper work for construction project management

section 3, simulation with python

section 4, optimization for construction project schedule  under resource constraints by using GA 

Learning outcome

after completing this course, the student should have the knowledge as follows:

the knowledge of construction schedule.

the knowledge of Monte Carlo simulation

the knowledge of optimization.

after completing this course, the student should have the skills as follows :

•Be able to build a construction schedule

Be able to build a model

be able to do a optimization for construction schedule under resource constraints

•Be able to do a Monte Carlo simulation

•Be able to a reliable analysis for a system

•Be able to code a GA algorithm and use this algorithm to solve the optimization problem.

•Be able to solve the optimization problems with GA, DE, and python DEAP frame

Learning methods and activities

the teaching form  will include both teaching  hour and student group work. the students are encouraged to the subjects actively.

Further on evaluation

The report should include coding part.

at least 3 assignments shall be approved to have access to exam. 

Specific conditions

Compulsory activities from previous semester may be approved by the department.

Required previous knowledge

two precondition courses are INGG1001 Python and BYGGET2265 building project.
