Course content

Markup and style sheet languages. Programming and use of client and server frameworks. Client-server communication and REST architecture. Development towards different platforms. Use of databases. Authentication and general security in applications. State of client and server. Testing and analysis of source code.

Learning outcome

Knowledge

Candidates:

  • has broad knowledge of client and server development
  • can account for REST architecture
  • can explain security management mechanisms when developing full-stack applications
  • know various tools and technologies as aids in the development of full-stack applications
  • has knowledge of developments towards various data processing platforms

Skills

Candidates:

  • can develop safe, stable and maintainable applications
  • can assess the pros and cons of using different tools and technologies

General competence

The candidate is able to acquire new knowledge in a field in continuous development.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, lessons, individual exercises, project work in teams with supervision. Mandatory work requirements: all exercises must be approved.

Assessment method: Home exam and project assignment.

Home exam: Postponed exam in May/June.

Project assignment: Performed in teams. Can be taken up the next time the course runs.

Both parts must be passed to pass the course.

All partial assessments must be passed separately. Continuation and voluntary repetition/improvement can be carried out for some partial assessments without all partial assessments in a subject having to be taken up again. You are given the opportunity to complain about partial assessments in this course before all partial assessments have been completed.

In the event of a re-sit examination, the written examination may be changed to an oral examination.
