About the course

Course content

The course is run every other year, next time Autumn 2009.

The course contains methods and techniques for testing and validating system development technologies. Relevant methods are - among others - experiments, post mortem analysis, case studies and surveys.
The formulation of hypotheses, validation and dataanalysis are imporetant themes.
the course uses examples from inspections, testing of industrial methods, etc.
The participants are required to perfomr an empirical study or do an in-depth study of an exsiting one. The results shall be documneted in a proejct report which counts for 50% of the final grade.

Learn to do empirical studies and to understand and use results from such studies performed by other persons.

Required previous knowledge

Experience in software developemnt equivalent ot the proejct part of TDT4140 and basic knowledge in statistical data analysis.
