- Oral examination (approx. 20 minutes) counts for 40% of the final grade.
The oral examination can be expected to test the candidate's knowledge of the entire curriculum.
Each of the exams are graded separately. Only the final grade will be listed on official diplomas and transcripts of records from NTNU. Both the term paper and the oral examination must receive the grade E or better in order for the student to receive a passing grade.
If a student fails one part of the exam, they must retake only that part of the exam. If a student retakes a passed exam, they must retake all parts of the exam.
In semesters where ENG3430 is not taught, NTNU will not be offering a resit examination.
