About the course

Course content

Analyis of transmission lines, Smith charts, S parameters, multiport networks, active RF components, device modeling, noise analysis, RF filter configurations and implementation, coupled filters, RF amplifiers, stability, RF oscillators, RF miksers.

Learning outcome

Knowledge: The couse provides insight into the physical, mathematical and technological foundation of radio frequency electronics.
Skills: Introduction to analytical tools such a Smith charts, two-port ananlysis, S-parameters and filter design.
General competence: Fundamental insight into RF- theory, technology, circuits and design.
