The focus of the course is the relationship between the syntax of the sentence and its constituents, for example different types of word phrases and the use of pronouns.
The course also gives an introduction to and training in central rules for pronunciation in French. Students will use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to transcribe simple texts. The main focus is on the relationship between orthography and pronunciation.
